I also was fortunate enough to attend Panteras last concert in Canada back in 2001 when they headlined the Extreme Steel tour with none other than fuckin Slayer and Morbid Angel. Big gambler too as both years I ran into him at the BJ table bettin heavy and drinkin heavier. Definitely one of the coolest moments in my life and he was a super rad guy. Got my picture with him and did some high fives. The first year got to meet him and all the members from his new band HellYeah. RIP Dime.įor the last couple years I have been goin to Vegas for the snowboard trade show and somehow 2 of the last years I saw Vinnie Paul (Dimebag's brother and drummer of Pantera). Unfortunately at a Damageplan show a few years back some mentally ill fuck shot and killed Darrel " Dimebag " Abbott on stage. My buddy Gonder used to have em way back in the day on vhs so when I found out they put em all on dvd I had to get that shit ! thanks Beale! If you haven't seen their home videos I suggest you check em out as they are pretty bad ass. Used to drive to Florida with my parents every year and this is all that I would play on my Sony yellow walkman as they were pretty much the only tapes I owned with exception of Dance Mix 94, RATM, Cypress Hill and NOFX. I think I have listened to CFH, VDOP & FBD more than any other album in my life.
First time I heard this band was in the snowboard flick TB4 and was instantly stoked so had to go out and buy the tape. Definitely the band that got me into metal and still listen to this shit all the time.
